FOSTER THE PEOPLE

Foster the People was founded by Mark Foster in 2009 after spending several years in Los Angeles as a struggling musician and working as a commercial jingle writer. When Foster’s song “Pumped Up Kicks” become a viral in 2010, the group reaches a global success and gained an international fan base that keeps up to date.

The group played music festivals worldwide and received two Grammy Award nominations for their debut Torches and "Pumped Up Kicks" itself. Their second album, Supermodel, was released in 2014 and was preceded by the lead single “Coming Of Age”. Their music, often described as melodic dance-infused pop and rock, spans many genres. The current line up consists of Mark Foster (lead vocals, guitar, piano, keyboards, synthesizers, drums, percussion) and Mark Pontius (drums, percussion, backing vocals).
