The once member of The War On Drugs have been building a bridge between classic and contemporary american rock in his solo career. Kurt Vile has a way of tying time in knots. His music is as strange as familiar. With an eye on folk and blues, and the other on lo-fi indie rock, he managed to create a personal style in which a song can sound dirty and delicate at the same time.
With six albums published, Kurt Vile has become one of the most significant songwriters of his generation. Both in the studio and during live performances, Vile is accompanied by his backing band, The Violators, which currently includes Jesse Trbovich (bass, guitar, saxophone), Rob Laakso (guitar, bass) and Kyle Spence (drums).
