Foo Fighters drummer choose the music of his life.

On recent feature in NME Magazine, Taylor Hawkins, drummer of Foo Fighters, make a list of the songs and artists “that shaped his life”. The list of seven tracks includes several songs by his favorite band Queen and even one of the early tracks of their own band Foo Fighters. 

According to the article, the first song he remembers hearing was The Kingsmen’s “Louie Louie” and the first song he fell in love with was Olivia-Newton John’s ‘Have You Never Been Mellow’. Even though Queen is the most representative act on the list. It was the first gig he ever attended to, The Game” was the first album he ever bought and “Keep Yourself Alive” was the song that make him want to drum. 

The list ended with another all time favorite David Bowie (whose songs he loves to sing at a karaoke) and Foo Fighter’s ‘Monkey Wrench’, a song that reminds him of joining the band of his life.
