Last night Green Day played a prominent role on the American Music Awards (AMAs), the annual celebration of the best of music in the USA according to the public.  The ceremony led by supermodel Gigi Hadid and comedian Jay Pharoah was broadcast live on TNT and the Californian band was invited to perform their latest single "Bang Bang" included on their recent "Revolution Radio". It was the second time that Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool performed in AMAs, after 2009 with their acclaimed "21 Guns." This time they were virtually the only representatives of rock music, since the rest of the guests included Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, Sting, Bruno Mars and The Weekend. During their performance and to the surprise of those present, they send a clear message to the thousands of viewers who followed the awards. In the middle of the performance, Billie Joe Armstrong decided to change the lyrics of "Bang Bang" to include the line  "No Trump, No KKK, No Fascist USA", an updated reference from the lyrics of "Born To Die" One of the highlights of the anarchist punk band MDC.
