Danish musician and producer Trentemøller is back with a new single entitled Hands Down, featuring Jenny Lee Lindberg (jennnylee) from Los Angeles band Warpaint.
Hands Down arrives only 6 months since the release of Fixion, his higly-acclaimed 4th studio album. Since then he embarked on a live-tour with over 50 venues shows, with the most being sold-out. Luckily Trentemøller still managed to work in his studio and bring us a brand-new song.
Hands Down is a post-punk electronic gem featuring the killer vocals from Warpaint bassist Jenny Lee. The result is an edgy pop moment that combines an urgent rhythm section, with synth flourishes and sparkling guitars much in the style of Warpaint themselves.
This isn't the first time Trentemøller team up with other artists (Savages' Jenny Beth is the voice of Fixion's River In Me). Actually, he already worked with Jenny Lee. Last year she shared a Trentemøller remix of her solo-single boom boom.
Both Warpaint and Trentemoller will perform next July 6th on Matusalem Stage ate at Mad Cool Festival 2017. Watch the music video for Hands Down, by LA based visual artist, photographer and director Justin Tyler Close, below.
