Deftones, Foals and Jamie Cullum are some of the confirmed bands that Mad Cool Festival is announcing on a daily basis, expanding the line-up for its upcoming appointment with the public in 2020.

These bands will be joining Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Twenty One Pilots, amongst others, names which paved the way for the awaited Mad Cool 2020 artist confirmations this past 29 October. A surprise move that has set the festival’s classic mechanism in motion: The daily announcement of a top artist in today’s music scene that will be getting up on the stages of the Valdebebas site. Today, it’s Jamie Cullum’s turn: The enfant terrible of jazz.

This past week, Mad Cool Festival has been announcing a dozen of national and international bands of all styles, a musical show that lovers of good music will be able to enjoy at one of the most anticipated musical events, held on 8, 9, 10 and 11 July.

The official start date for the ticket sale will be the 1st of December, starting at 11:00 AM (GMT) through our official sales channels: madcoolfestival.es, ticketmaster.es and festicket.com.

But the confirmations just keep coming… This is only the beginning!

BIOGRAPHIES:

The Deftones have long outgrown their nu metal tag. Ever since they started out, this alternative rock band from Sacramento has been going down two parallel paths. For one, they never stopped releasing hits, and for another, they have tested the boundaries of music by incorporating elements of psychedelia and shoegaze into their music. With seven studio albums and over 10 million albums sold worldwide, it’s hard to find another band that has struck such a perfect balance between beauty and aggression.

“Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost" is the name of the latest 2-part album released by Foals, which marked the most successful era in the band’s career. “Part 1” debuted as #2 on the charts, was nominated for a Mercury Prize and won the 2019 Q Award for Best Album. Yannis Philippakis (voice/guitar), Jimmy Smith (guitar), Jack Bevan (drums) and Edwin Congreave (keyboard) return to the Mad Cool Festival once again to hold the audience spellbound with their spectacular live act and their foolproof collection of hits.

Jamie Cullum is a well-known musician in the whole world. Over the past 18 years, his legendary concerts have turned him into an icon and gotten him to perform at large jazz, pop and alternative music festivals in over 40 countries. And with eight albums under his name (with a ninth on its way), he has had a great record-releasing career. His work always combines original compositions with jazz classics and unique reinterpretations of contemporary tunes. A breath-taking show you will be able to enjoy live at Mad Cool 2020.

Wolf Alice is one of the most successful British bands in recent years. What makes them stand out is their style, characterized by the stellar voice of Ellie Roswell, which combines alternative 90’s rock with noise, shoegaze and dream pop. With their second album “Visions Of A Life”, they explored their horizons of sound even more, as it earned them the prestigious Mercury Prize. With similar credentials, Wolf Alice is making their return to Mad Cool Festival to stun all the attendees with their dazzling live performance.

Los Angeles based artist, songwriter and producer, Finneas, has released almost a dozen singles and racked up over 75 million streams. In addition, he has practically toured the whole world offering the warm-up act for his sister Billie Eilish, whose debut album was fully produced by him. Aside from writing his own music, Finneas still writes and produces for other artists.

To say Nothing But Thieves have been on an epic journey is an understatement. With half a million albums sold, these five Southend lads have gone from playing to a handful of friends in Essex to crowds in 35 countries. Their first album became the bestselling debut from a UK rock band in the US. Their success continues to grow with the release of “Broken Machine” and “Global Sold Out” tours. It goes without saying that they are one of the most exciting new bands to emerge from the UK.

2019 has been a historic year for songwriter Richard Hawley. With his ninth studio album “Further”, he climbed his way up to the third spot of the UK charts. He also wrote his own musical, which has been seen by over 26.000 people at the Crucible Theatre in his hometown of Sheffield. In addition, this year he celebrates his twentieth anniversary as a solo artist. Two decades after quitting his role as the guitarist for Pulp, this 52-year-old songwriter has forged one of the most unique and diverse careers in modern music.

Pala Waves is one of the most promising British bands. Heather Baron-Gracie (voice), Ciara Doran (drums), Hugo Silvani (guitar) and Charlie Wood (bass) have already undertaken an impressive journey with singles such as “My Obsession” and “There’s A Honey”. The critics praise them and their fan base just keeps on growing. Their debut, “My Mind Makes Noises” (2018) makes us reminisce about The Cure, as well as 80’s and 90’s pop.

More on its way!
