> The London DJ is one of the pioneers in mixing rock, electro, house and techno.
> He is responsible for some of the best remixes of the past few years (Depeche Mode, Tame Impala, Justice, Franz Ferdinand, MGMT).
Years ago, Erol Alkan, DJ, producer, and founder of the Phantasy label, started a trend that is now a standard: mixing rock, electro, house and techno in his DJ sets – creating a hybrid genre that made bands like Depeche Mode, Tame Impala, and Justice pick him to produce what would turn out to be some of his most popular remixes.
A resident at Trash Club in London, as the label boss at Phantasy he has released some of the most notable efforts by Daniel Avery and Connan Mockasin. He made such fine pieces as the legendary mash-up of Kylie Minogue's 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' and New Order's “Blue Monday”. He also produced albums for bands like Mystery Jets, The Long Blondes, and Ride.
