> The Oxford-based band are one of the most interesting acts in the current British pop scene.
> Their music is a blend of indie rock, electronic music and hip-hop influences.
Since the beginning, Glass Animals have been known for their minimalistic atmospheres. Their perfect blend of synth-pop, electronic music, indie rock and hip-hop beats qualifies them as an experimental band.
Glass Animals was formed by Dave Bayley (vocals, guitar), Drew MacFarlane (guitar, keyboard, backing vocals), Edmund Irwin-Singer (bass, backing vocals) and Joe Seaward (drums). With their debut album, Zaba (2014), they became one of the year’s revelations. The band toured the world extensively and gathered stories from the people they encountered (which Barley secretly recorded on his phone). All these stories were the source for the band’s second full-length album How to Be a Human Being (2016), an acclaimed conceptual and emotional work in that each song tells the story of a different character.
Glass Animals will arrive at Mad Cool Festival 2018 with a brilliant, optimistic sound and will bring us closer to their unique way of understanding life.
