Since their beginnings Massive Attack has been lead by their desire for a consistent evolution. The band founded in 1987 in the port city of Bristol by Grant "Daddy G" Marshall and Robert "3D" del Naja, has been applauded, earning the right as the trip-hop creators, a genre in which a peculiar fusion of hip hop, dub beats, reggae, soul tunes, jazz, experimental rock and the darkest gummy side of electronic music where combined.
Since they launched their seminal Blue Lines (1991), Massive Attack has been reinventing the culture club throughout generational hymns like Unfinished Sympathy, Protection, Teardrop or Paradise Circus, they've also had contributions from artists such as Tricky, Tracey Thorn (Everything But The Girl), Madonna, Elizabeth Fraser (Cocteau Twins), Sinéad O'Connor, Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz) and the reggae's legend Horace Andy.
At the beginning of 2016 they released their EP Ritual Spirit their latest album to date which had four unknown songs. After an eight year absence, Mad Cool 2018 will be the perfect time to enjoy again the great live performance of Massive Attack, a journey that appeals to our senses which every music fan should enjoy, at least, once in a life time.
