Led by a real sound genius like Kevin Parker (singer, guitarist, composer, lyricist, and producer) Tame Impala are the most important psychedelic rock band of the 21th Century, updating the lysergic sound born in the U.K and the USA in the 60's and 70's. While still awaiting for their fourth LP, the band released a deluxe edition of their latest LP Currents (2015) in November 2017, with three unknown songs and two remixes.
Founded in Peth (Australia) in 2007, the band is completed with Jay Watson (synthesizers, vocals, guitars) Dominic Simper (guitarist, synthesizer) Cam Avery (bass) and Julien Barbagallo (drums, chorus) After a round of singles and EP's in 2010 they released their debut album: Innerpseaker. But it wouldn't be until two years later, in 2012, when they became world famous thanks to their hailed album Lonerism which went platinum in Australia and was also nominated for a Grammy Award.
In 2015 they released their third album, Currents, where guitars sounds made way to electronics. With hits such as Let it Happen or The less I know the better, the quintet has been able to create their own sound without forgetting their origins. Tame Impala will be at Mad Cool 2018 Festival five years after their last (and only) visit to Madrid to excite us with their spectacular performance.
