> The Edinburgh-born trio will debut in Madrid at Mad Cool Festival 2018.
> Their first album, 'Dead' (2014), won the prestigious Mercury Prize.
Alloysious Massaquoi, Kayus Bankole and ‘G’ Hastingsque are Young Fathers. They met in a night club in Edinburgh at the early age of 14 and started writing songs soon thereafter.
2009 brought 'Straight Back On It', their debut single as a band. But the great surprise came with their first studio album, 'Dead' (2014), winner, against all odds, of the prestigious Mercury Prize.
The trio has been praised by many other artists, including Massive Attack, who chose them as support act for their US tour and with whom they recorded Voodoo in my Blood (2016). Both bands will see each other again at Mad Cool 2018. This will be the first time Young Fathers perform in Madrid.
