The RTVE network will take viewers to one of the most important music festivals of 2018 broadcasting the concerts of two main groups on the poster: Arctic Monkeys and Queens Of the Stone Age.
'La 2' will broadcast two concerts on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 July under the hashtag #La2esMúsica
La 2 and Mad Cool Festival join forces -and pack cultural muscle- around one of the major musical events in the country that celebrates its third edition from 12 to 14 July in Madrid in the Espacio Mad Cool (located in Valdebebas-Ifema).
For the first time, La 2 will be present at this festival and will play the concerts of Arctic Monkeys and Queens of the Stone Age. Before the broadcast of the shows, Virginia Díaz, of Radio 3, will present a program including interviews with musicians and VIP guests.
Regarding the broadcast of the concerts
On Friday the 13th, starting at 23:40 hours, La 2 will broadcast the concert of Arctic Monkeys, headliner of that day. The Sheffield band arrives in the capital four years after their last visit to present their new and awaited album: Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino (2018).
The last day of the 2018 edition, Saturday the 14th, will be the turn of Queens of the Stone Age, whose show will be broadcast that same day at 23:30. The band led by Josh Homme will present in Mad Cool his eighth LP: Villains, produced by Mark Ronson.
More national music in La 2: La M.O.D.A. and Quique González
In the dates following the festival, La 2 will broadcast the concert of La Maravillosa Orquesta del Alcohol (La M.O.D.A.) and the show by Quique González and Los Detectives entitled En directo desde Radio Station ('Live from Radio Station') , recently edited from the live recording in the 2017 edition of the festival.
