Public institutions activations at Mad Cool 2019


Institutions collaborations with Mad Cool 2019 will develop, during the festival, different activations and experiences to showcase their offer to Mad Cool visitors. These are their proposals:


Madrid’s City council, through Madrid Destino and its tourism department, sponsors Mad Cool again. It’s considered one of the best and most important festivals in the Spanish music scene and has become a main tourist attraction for Madrid’s visitors. 

This is why, one of the main stages, is called “Madrid te abraza”- “Madrid hugs you” as a reference to the cities’ tourist icon. The city council will also have their own stand at the festival, with staff giving tourist information. 

The presence of Madrid as a city and as a brand within the festival, allows for promotion of Madrid as a destination for great international concerts through Mad Cool channels. At the same time, festival screens and other channels will broadcast Madrid’s promotional audiovisual material. 

Every visitor and Mad Cool app user will be able to access a complete cultural guide to the city including places of interest to make the best of their stay in one of the most attractive cities in Europe. 



At their stand, visitors could enjoy a great activation in which, through augmented reality glasses, they will virtually visit several tourist points in Madrid. 

At this same stand, they will be handing out information about the tourist options in the region, with special emphasis on active and nature tourism. In addition, any visitor could get a temporary tattoo and participate on an Instagram contest with an amazing prize for the winner: a balloon flight for two people through the Guadarrama regional park.

The community of Madrid will also have its own stage in which some of the best international artists will perform over the 3 days of the Festival.
