Villaverde bursts with color, art, and energy thanks to Villaverde Reloaded, an initiative by Mad Cool Festival in collaboration with the Tourism Department of Madrid City Council.
The project aims to transform the neighborhood through urban art and collective creativity, bringing together artists, local businesses, and residents under a shared vision: to make Villaverde a more vibrant, diverse, and inspiring place to live.
Villaverde Reloaded is much more than an artistic intervention, it’s a proposal to revitalize public spaces, highlighting local talent and the neighborhood’s commercial fabric.
Over the past few weeks, 15 artists have transformed the metal shutters of 16 local businesses, bringing color, personality, and art to one of the district’s busiest streets.
This project aims to take art beyond the city center, bringing it closer to the neighborhoods, encouraging community participation, and turning Villaverde into a vibrant meeting point for creativity and urban life.

Each piece is a reflection of the artistic and cultural diversity that defines Villaverde, a shared commitment to art, community, and urban culture that’s redefining the way we experience and feel the neighborhood.
