• Most voted bands will then move on to the final round: the concerts at Sala Sol, Sala Costello and Sala Clamores on June 11th 12th and 14th
• 53 bands go to the next round in the Mad Cool Talent UK contest
Madrid, May 27th.- Its now time for the popular vote. The jury of the IV edition of Mad Cool Talent has shortlisted 64 bands out of thousands of soloist and bands from around the world that submitted their registrations for the contest before the deadline on May 12th. All of them have the same goal: to share line up with The Cure, Rosalia, Ms. Lauryn Hill or The National, the headliners of the Festival that will take place on July at Valdebebas. The contest, born from the will to support young music by Mad Cool Festival and Vibra Mahou to encourage emerging talent and be their best display to the public.
Several draws in the votes of the jury have forced to increase the number of bands that will go to the next phase of the Contest. In this way, from 50, as it appeared at the beginning in the bases of the contest, there will now be 64 groups and soloists who submit themselves to the public's judgment.
The deadline for deliberation finished yesterday, and the jury was form by specialized professionals from the music industry such as Daniel López (Mondo Sonoro), Dani Marín (Costello Club), David Bonilla (A & R Warner), Javier Dean (Warner Chapell), Leire Alcalde (A & R Sony), Mar Rojo (Sala Sol), Paloma Sánchez (Sol Musica) y Sara Quintela (A & R Subterfuge). For the British edition of Mad Cool Talent, the jury was composed by two of the most prestigious music media, NME and DIY.

On June 2nd at 23:59pm, popular vote will close and on June 3rd, the names of the 15 most voted bands will be made public and will become the finalists. Their future will be decided on the concerts that will take place on June 11th, 12th and 14th, at Costello Club, Sala Sol and Sala Clamores, with free entry until full capacity.
The registration for Mad Cool Talent has once again been a great success with almost one thousand bands and soloist from many different countries such as Argentina, France, Italy, United States, Cuba, Estonia, Japan, Sweden, Russia, Israel or South Africa. This is a statement of the festival’s vocation to promote and impulse young talent and the music’s future.
With this initiative, Mahou continues to show their compromise with music, and share the passion, soul and closeness between the artists and its public, with the best taste. Because each day, Mahou Cinco Extrellas taste more like music.
